Tayo is a typical show dog, but that doesn't stop us from leading a sporty life. He is very friendly to people and dogs, but is reserved when getting to know him.
He is an active dog with very good drive. He has a natural retrieval, great willingness to work and a very strong motivation to eat. At work he is focused, determined and self-confident. He barks during agility and frisbee training, but can wait calmly for his turn. He is a thinking when do frisbee, he tracks discs nicely and doesn't outstrip these. He's never had a problem with catchability, but he's naturally rather down-to-earth. He can jump nicely when we practice different figures, but I wouldn't call him a dog jumper. In agility, we work rather for food. On food concentrates much better and listens to commands. He was tested on sheep and I think he did quite well. He is not anxious, nor is he a hard dog. He responds to corrections and doesn't give up at work, but when he is tired he can be less committed.
He communicates well and is non-confrontational. Lack of classes is not a problem for him. When necessary, he can calm, and when he needs to train, he is immediately ready. He does not react to shots or other sudden noises. It has its flaws, because who doesn't? Anyway, sometimes he has trouble giving up contact with dogs. It also happens that he gets excited when another dog gets excited. I would also like him to rest better outside the cage in places where there is a lot going on, but despite the above-mentioned things, I can easily describe him as a balanced dog, pleasant to live with and very flexible when it comes to work.
